Focus E15 campaigner set to sit on Question Time panel

Focus E15 mum Jasmin Stone is set to take a seat next to comedian Russell Brand on today’s The People’s Question Time panel.

The 20-year-old will be speaking about the hugely successful occupation of a block of flats at Carpenters Estate in east London.

Echoing the sentiment of the Focus E15 campaign, the People’s Question Time will debate issues of poverty and inequality, as well as the major parties’ commitment to cuts and privatisation.

Green Party leader Natalie Bennett, PCS union general secretary Mark Serwotka, and Tower Hamlets mayor Lutfur Rahman will attend.

Hundreds of questions have been collected in the past few weeks to be read out in York Hall, Old Ford Road, London from 6.30pm tonight.

The event is set to be live streamed online for those unable to attend.
