Soas shut for second day running

A LONDON university was shut down for the second day in a row yesterday in solidarity with a suspended librarian who dared to support a student occupation.

The School of Oriental and African Studies was once again picketed by students and staff calling for the reinstatement of the institution’s Unison branch secretary Sandy Nicoll.

Extra private security have reportedly been hired for £2,400 a day despite the school planning to cut £5 million from its budget.
