Yvette Cooper launches yet another attack on leftwinger Jeremy Corbyn

YVETTE COOPER claimed yesterday the Tories would have licence to become “more right-wing” if Jeremy Corbyn was elected Labour leader.

She said a Corbyn victory next week would leave the party “fighting among itself” and make it harder to beat the Tories in 2020.

“What happened in the 1980s made it possible for the Tories to become more right wing in government … because the Labour Party wasn’t a credible threat,” Ms Cooper said.
