No2EU campaign to visit London

Anti-imperialist coalition will make the case for leaving the EU over Brussels-based neoliberalism

Radical anti-imperialist coalition No2EU is to take its European election campaign to south-east London on Thursday.

Voters will have a chance to hear the progressive case for leaving the neoliberal European Union at a meeting in the iconic crypt of St Paul’s church, Deptford.

No2EU — Yes to Workers Rights candidates Brian Denny and April Ashley will be explaining why the left cannot afford to remain silent on attacks on public services and working conditions being dictated by Brussels and backed by Britain’s Con-Dem government.

“Unlike Ukip, we are opposed to the austerity cuts imposed on member states by unaccountable and anti-democratic EU institutions,” Mr Denny said.

“We want to see a Europe of democratic states that value public services, will not sell them off to profiteers and will not put the interests of big business above those of ordinary people.”

The meeting is at St Paul’s crypt, Diamond Way, London SE8 from 7.30pm on Thursday April 10. For info visit www.no2eu.com or call (0207) 529-8824.
