Yorkshire hates Cameron

DAVID CAMERON wrecked his bid to woo Yorkshire voters yesterday by claiming that people from the proud county “hate each other.”

The Tory PM made the comment while talking to a member of the public about rival devolution bids within Yorkshire.

During the visit to Leeds, he was recorded saying: “We just thought people in Yorkshire hated everyone else. We didn’t realise they hated each other so much.”

The off-camera comment, caught by a BBC microphone, sparked a furious reaction on social media.

Catherine Jones tweeted: “Cameron thinks Yorkshire people hate everyone probably because everyone in Yorkshire hates him.”
