TRADE unionists are to target notorious anti-union corporation Sodexo in London on May Day following the sacking of a trade union activist.
The Paris-based multinational, which employs 380,000 workers in 80 countries, has a catering contract with London Underground and RMT union activists have been campaigning to unionise the workforce.
RMT says Sodexo has a long history of bullying and discrimination and is notoriously anti-union.
Out of five RMT reps on the London Underground contract three have been sacked and two have faced disciplinary action.
RMT activist Petrit Mihaj was sacked from his catering job on the London Underground last year despite 10 years of service.
Despite his winning an employment tribunal claim for unfair dismissal, Sodexo has refused to reinstate him.
Sodexo’s London offices will be targeted by RMT protesters on Friday from 10.30am.
