Campaigners fighting against the demolition of Earls Court launched a hard-hitting video yesterday aimed at debunking the myths behind the multibillion-pound redevelopment.
The Save Earls Court: Our Voices Will Be Heard film features the concerns of local residents, campaigners and businesses.
Under the plans two council estates and the popular Earls Court exhibition centre will be bulldozed and luxury flats erected in their place.
Local artist Duggie Fields said the flats, which will be sold all around the world, “will be hardly lived in but used mostly as bank deposits.”
Harold Greatwood, resident of West Kensington estate, added: “We have pensioners on the estate who are wretchedly upset.”
The video can be watched on YouTube and more information is available on the campaign’s website.
