Biden launches ‘absurd’ attack on China

JOE BIDEN launched an “absurd” attack against China during his annual State of the Union speech on Tuesday evening.

President Biden warned that he will protect the United States against any threats by China to the sovereignty of his country.

He said that he had told Chinese President Xi Jingping that Washington seeks “competition, not conflict.”

But he also said that US investments in its alliances, military and advanced technologies meant that it was now in its strongest position in decades to compete with China and defend its interests.

“Make no mistake, if China threatens our sovereignty we will act to protect our country.”

Mr Biden specifically named President Xi, saying: “Name me a world leader who’d change places with Xi. Name me one!”

The Party for Socialism and Liberation tweeted that the attacks on China by Mr Biden were “absurd.”

“China is not a threat to the US. With 750 military bases around the world, it’s the US that’s a global threat to peace and stability.”

The China is Not Our Enemy website, said: “Name me one world leader who’d change places with Xi Jingping to endure the rampant US aggression and this level of hostility from its leader.”
