HORSE RACING: Hollie Doyle became the second woman to ride 1,000 winners in Britain after steering Handle With Care to victory at Lingfield on Monday.
The 28-year-old rode her first winner in 2013, bagged a career best 172 wins in 2021 and was the first woman to gain a Classics success with Nashwa at the 2022 French Oaks.
Hayley Turner was the first female jockey to reach 1,000 winners in July 2024.
MEN’S CRICKET: New Zealand take an unassailable 3-1 lead into Wednesday morning’s final leg of their Twenty20 series with Pakistan.
After suffering a nine-wicket thrashing in the third game the Kiwis hit back with a crushing 115-run victory in Mount Maunganui.
