MEN’S ICE HOCKEY: Belfast Giants are in a strong position to take another step towards defending the trophy they won last year as they take a four goal advantage over the Guildford Flames into tonight’s Challenge Cup semi-final second leg on home ice.

Tomorrow evening’s other semi-final between a resurgent Fife Flyers and Sheffield Steelers in Kirkcaldy is at the first leg stage.

WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: League Cup holders Manchester City are at Championship side Bristol City tomorrow evening for a quarter-final tie while last year’s runners-up Chelsea make the short journey across London to take on an out-of-form Tottenham.

Liverpool meet West Ham in tomorrow’s other fixture and Arsenal will play Aston Villa on Thursday. Current Super League leaders Manchester United did not qualify for the last eight.

MEN’S RUGBY UNION: Reigning champions La Rochelle have been drawn at home to Gloucester in the last 16 of the Champions Cup.

France’s other qualifiers Toulouse host Pretoria’s Bulls while Montpellier travel to Exeter.

English champions Leicester face Edinburgh, Saracens are up against the Ospreys, Leinster meet Ulster, Harlequins will be in Cape Town to play the Stormers and Munster also travel to South Africa to take on the Sharks in Durban.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Postponed originally by a waterlogged pitch and then frozen out, Penydarren BGC and Cwmbran Celtic will try for the third time to settle their Welsh Cup Fourth Round tie tomorrow evening.

Tomorrow night’s winners will host cupholders The New Saints in the quarter-finals.

Elsewhere in the draw last year’s runners-up Penybont face Holywell Town, Bala take on Briton Ferry Llansawel and Airbus Broughton are at Connah’s Quay.
