New IER podcast to examine Labour's New Deal for Working People under a microscope

A NEW podcast series promising accessible and authoritative analysis of the government’s employment reforms launched today.

The Institute of Employment Rights (IER) said that its six-part series will cover a range of employment rights themes including the New Deal for Working People and the Labour government’s Employment Rights Bill.

The labour movement think tank’s law experts, whose work provided the blueprint for Labour’s green paper on employment rights, will be dissecting the resulting new employment legislation brought forward by Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour government.

They will consider how the proposals in the Bill measure up and will highlight the pitfalls and the possibilities the Bill may pose for Britain’s 33 million workers.

The first episode will see IER senior vice-president Carolyn Jones, Lord John Hendy KC and Professor Keith Ewing discuss the imperative need for comprehensive reforms in the country’s labour laws.
