Blairite staffers allegedly shred thousands of documents before quitting

BLAIRITE staffers shredded thousands of documents related to ongoing disciplinary cases before leaving their jobs, it has been alleged.

Labour sources have told the Skwawkbox blog that former party officials destroyed around 9,000 sensitive documents related to ongoing complaints but kept copies later leaked to the right-wing press, including cases related to anti-semitism.

It is thought that right-wingers hostile to Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership destroyed documents to frustrate the efforts of pro-Corbyn officials to effectively deal with cases.

Jewish Labour Party member David Rosenberg told the Star: “If the Skwawkbox allegations are confirmed, they will show up the cynicism with which former staff members are still playing politics with the serious matter of anti-semitism.

“Not to help alleged victims of anti-semitism, but to dishonestly attempt to undermine the Labour leadership — which does take anti-semitism very seriously.

“We know that Jennie Formby and her current team are approaching such issues with complete integrity.”
