Greens unveil coalition boy band in broadcast

DAVID CAMERON, Nick Clegg, Ed Miliband and Nigel Farage have formed a boy band dubbed Coalition to release a song that has “been at number one for 200 years.”

At least that’s what the Green Party will have you believe in a video launched yesterday featuring actors playing the four leaders.

The film, part of the Greens’ latest election broadcast, features dry ice, uplifting key changes and starry lights.

A fifth actor opens and closes the film insisting that voters could “change the tune — voting true, not tactical.”

The song features lines about austerity, corporate tax avoidance, public services and immigration and includes images of the actors crossing a box for a “Coalition” on ballot papers.

Green Party leader Natalie Bennett, who does not appear in the video, said in a statement that the Establishment parties were “singing from the same hymn sheet.”

The video, on air at 5.55pm on BBC2 tonight, was directed by Johnny Hopkins on behalf of Creature of London.
