LABOUR PARTY bosses were last night ready to cancel its party conference if Scotland votes Yes to independence.
A Yes vote would force PM David Cameron to recall Parliament on Monday, meaning Labour’s 256 MPs would be required in Westminster.
Labour organisers admitted that would wreck their Manchester rally, due to start on Sunday.
A senior Labour MP told the Huffington Post that nobody had seriously considered the prospect before.
Ed Miliband has been forced to consider whether he would back a vote of no confidence in Mr Cameron if there is a Yes vote.
Only Mr Miliband’s keynote speech and a handful of fringe meetings would still go ahead.
Cancellation would be a blow to the Labour Party, which received a major bounce in the polls after their 2013 conference.
The Liberal Democrats — who are scheduled to meet in Glasgow from Sunday October 4 — also face a conference cancellation catastrophe.
