SNP suspends two members

TWO men who disrupted a Scottish Labour rally were suspended from the SNP yesterday.

Piers Doughty-Brown and James Scott were part of the group which swarmed Scottish Labour leader Jim Murphy in Glasgow city centre as he campaigned with comedian Eddie Izzard. Mr Murphy’s speech was drowned out by chants of “red Tories out” and the walkabout was cut short after scuffles erupted.

SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon had condemned the scenes.
