WE OWN IT director Cat Hobbs questioned the Tories’ real intentions behind the RBS sell-off.
The public-services campaigner told the Star: “Why is George Osborne in such a hurry to sell off RBS, even if it means taxpayers will lose out?
“It’s because he’s driven by ideology, not what’s best for the country.
“That’s why he’s also gearing up to privatise other national treasures, looking at selling off public assets such as Ordnance Survey and the Met Office. These provide vital services and make a profit for the public purse year after year.
“If you want our assets to benefit all of us, please sign up to our Top Trumps campaign.”
