Hearts nine clear at top of Scottish Championship

Hearts remain nine points clear of Rangers in the Scottish Championship after a convincing 4-1 win over third-placed Queen of the South.

Rangers laboured to a 1-0 win over struggling Cowdenbeath while bottom club Livingston caused the shock of the day with a 5-1 thumping of Raith, who played with 10 men for 88 minutes.

David McCracken scored a last-minute winner as Falkirk beat Hibs 1-0 and Dumbarton won by the same score at Alloa.
