Policemen charged with rape and assault

A POLICE officer has been charged with seven counts of rape after being arrested at his home earlier this month, it was revealed yesterday.

Michael Graham, 47, who is attached to west London’s Hounslow, was detained on October 6.

He has since been suspended from his post, Scotland Yard said.

Mr Graham is charged with seven counts of rape and one count of assault, which are alleged to have taken place between Christmas Eve in 2013 and September 2 2014.

He is due to appear at Uxbridge magistrates’ court tomorrow.

Officers in the sexual offences exploitation and child abuse unit are investigating Mr Graham, who is said to have been off duty when the alleged offences were committed.

Scotland Yard said the Directorate of Professional Standards, which investigates officers’ conduct, had been informed.
