Wales will discover today whether their opening Euro 2016 qualifier can be played in Andorra.
Last Friday Uefa announced that more work needed to be done on the new artificial 3G surface at the national stadium in Andorra la Vella before the September 9 qualifier can go ahead in the Pyrenees principality.
Tests on Thursday showed the ball was rolling too fast on the surface and if Andorra cannot rectify the problem then the match will be moved to another country.
“Uefa has today informed the Football Association of Wales that a further pitch inspection will today be carried out on the new 3G surface at the Andorra National Stadium,” said an FAW statement yesterday.
“Uefa believe that if the necessary work has been carried out over the weekend, the game will be played at the stadium.
“A decision will be made within the next 24 hours.”
Winger Hal Robson-Kanu, meanwhile, became the second player to withdrew from the Wales squad following West Ham defender James Collins.
