School staff vote 'no confidence' in bosses

WORKERS at a Welsh Catholic school unanimously condemned their bosses yesterday in a vote of no confidence.

Bridgend Unison branch registered the protest after Archbishop McGrath School management failed to act on concerns raised by support staff, including on health and safety, whistleblowing and bullying.

Unison regional organiser Andrew Woodman said workers were left with no choice but to “publicly denounce” management after it “treated Unison’s concerns with contempt.

“As a result of the school’s attitude, a culture of double standards is emerging whereby school support staff are treated less favourably than teaching staff and this is wholly unacceptable.”
