At 61 Liam Neeson's action hero credentials soar to new heights in this utterly riveting and entertaining suspense thriller.

He plays a troubled US air marshall who receives cryptic texts on board a transatlantic flight demanding $150 million or a passenger is to be killed every 20 minutes.

Once the plane doors close you too are locked in for the long haul as Jaume Collet-Serra, who directed Neeson in Unknown, skilfully racks up the tension in this claustrophobic and confined environment.

With red herrings abounding it is Neeson's plausible ferocity and despair in trying to find the culprit that keeps you glued to the screen and rooting for him.

If you like smart and relentless fun, this is for you.
