The Cure
Paul Birtill
I went to see the new Dad's Army
film last night. When I was thirteen
and suffering from my first bout of
depression my doctor asked me what I
was reading. “Animal Farm,” I said.
“No no no,” he said, “that would bring
anyone down – watch Dad's Army, it's
on tonight.”
Paul Birtill was born in Walton, Liverpool, in 1960.
