European Elections: No change in Wales Euro-MPs

All of 2009’s winning parties have held on to its seats in Wales.

Labour boosted its vote by nearly 8 per cent to top the constituency.

And Ukip leapfrogged its right-wing rivals to take second place on 201,983 votes.

The Tories and Plaid Cymru both saw their share drop by more than 3 per cent, but it wasn’t enough for the Greens or sixth-place Lib Dems to challenge for their seats.
