West Bromwich Albion made it back-to-back wins for the first time in 12 months with a 4-0 victory over Burnley at The Hawthorns yesterday.
Craig Dawson opened the scoring for the home side before Saido Berahino doubled their lead in first-half stoppage time.
Berahino got his second of the game early in the second half before Graham Dorrans scored his first goal of the season in the 90th minute.
The Baggies went into the game having scored just one goal in their last four league games — James Morrison’s winner in their 1-0 win over Spurs last weekend.
But they were ahead on the half-hour mark when Dawson, who was the subject of three failed bids by the Clarets in the summer, stole a yard on his marker to head home Chris Brunt’s corner from close range.
Alan Irvine’s side were two goals to the good on the stroke of half-time after more shambolic defending from the visitors.
Berahino found himself unmarked at the far post and headed home James Morrison’s corner for his fourth Premier League goal of the season.
It was the fifth time West Brom had scored from a corner in the league this season which is more than any other team.
England under-21 international Berahino netted his second of the game after the break, latching on to a pass from Dorrans before slotting the ball past Tom Heaton.
Dorrans then wrapped up proceedings in the dying moments of the game to secure West Brom their first home win of the season.
