Joshua Seigal - At the Rockefeller Center, New York

At the Rockefeller Center, New York
Joshua Seigal

We queued
to join the queue
to join the queue
to join the queue
to get in.

When we got in
we couldn't see anything
because of all the people.

So we queued
to join the queue
to join the queue
to join the queue
to get out.

The whole thing cost us
ninety dollars.

Somewhere
beyond the skyline
Rockefeller torched a cigar
and laughed.

Joshua Seigal is a professional poet and educator who spends his time performing and running workshops in schools. He has an MA in Writing and Education from Goldsmiths, and has children’s books forthcoming from Bloomsbury and Flying Eye. Visit www.joshuaseigal.co.uk for more information.
