FOOTBALL: Wigan midfielder James McArthur’s FA Cup winner’s medal from his side’s victory over Manchester City at Wembley in 2013 has been stolen in a burglary at his home.

Two wedding rings were also stolen — shortly before the Scottish international is due to get married.

The 26-year-old said: “I am devastated, as is my fiancee. The medal is priceless for me and this is a real blow to us to happen just before the wedding.”

CRICKET: Middlesex remain top of County Championship Division One despite a complete washout in their match against Sussex at Northwood.

BASKETBALL: The New York Knicks will return to London for the second time in three years when they take on the Milwaukee Bucks at the O2 Arena in January.

The two teams will tip-off on January 15 in an NBA regular-season game.
