LABOUR has regained a tranche of support among Scottish voters, a leaked poll showed this weekend.
The poll of general election voting intention was carried out by Moonlight Research on behalf of Labour’s Westminster HQ.
It puts the SNP in the lead on 34 per cent. Labour are on 30 per cent and the Conservatives poll 24 per cent.
Senior Labour officials have been encouraged by the survey, as they see reaching the 30 per cent mark as a milestone on the party’s long road back from oblivion in Scotland.
Labour polled 27 per cent in Scotland in the general election last year, with the SNP scoring 37 per cent, and the Tories 29 per cent.
Westminster polling put Scottish Labour’s support as low as 14 per cent around this time last year.
