SADLY no longer together, The November Five have left us an astonishing second, and last, album.
Easily one of the most politically aware bands of its time the quartet spells it out: “Yeah, we’re still outraged by injustice and constantly surprised at how this continues.”
Exquisitely disciplined, their sound is simply exhilarating —Julian Marszalek, Joe Cribbin, Garry Scott James and George Phillips know their rock ’n’ roll onions.
Magnum opus comes to mind at this tour-de-force song collection that is an articulate call to action. They have little doubt that: “Our culture should not come from swimming pool sized plasma … it’s something we need to go out and engage in and re-shape.”
The title track and Here I Stand, A Little Knowledge, You’re Not Making Any Sense and the monumental, symphonic Feed the Lie are breath-taking, anthems of resistance.
Highly recommended.
