CPB refutes right-wing ‘infiltration’ scare story

MEMBERS of the Communist Party of Britain took a swing at the right-wing media yesterday over allegations that it was “infiltrating” the Labour Party in order to support Jeremy Corbyn in the leadership race.

The Communist Party of Britain — linked politically to the Morning Star and the only communist party recognised by both the Electoral Commission and other communist parties throughout the world — stated that it was wholly opposed to such entryism.

The party’s political committee reminded members last month that communists should not join or register support for other parties and that any such move in relation to the Labour Party at this moment would be used to attack Mr Corbyn’s campaign.

The committee said it was confident that party members were abiding by that policy.
