Way to the public’s heart is through its stomach

STANDARD-CLASS hero Jeremy Corbyn was snapped handing round red wine and crisps to fellow passengers on a packed train this week.

The Labour leadership front runner was heading home from a rally in Norwich when statistician Chris spotted him signing an autograph for a fellow passenger.

In pictures supplied to the Morning Star, Mr Corbyn is seen chatting to campaign staff and commuters.

When Chris, who was travelling one stop down the line to his home town of Diss, stopped to thank Mr Corbyn for “inspiring us,” the MP asked him to sit down.

Mr Corbyn then asked him to share his picnic of crisps, salad and red wine in plastic cups.

“Seventeen minutes that told me everything I need to know — Jeremy Corbyn really is a great bloke,” Chris said.

“Our country will be so much better if he makes it to No 10.”
