Hugo Boss fined £1.2m for killing child with mirror

DESIGNER brand Hugo Boss was handed a £1.2 million fine yesterday after an unsecured 18-stone mirror fell and killed a four-year-old boy in a shop changing room.

Austen Harrison, from West Sussex, was with his parents Simon and Irina when the incident at the discount shop in Bicester Village, Oxfordshire, happened on June 4 2013.

Hugo Boss later admitted to breaching the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
