CHEATING MPs, peers and their staff were caught red-faced yesterday when a freedom of information request revealed that computers in Parliament were used to access adultery website Ashley Madison.

Hackers Impact Team released the information of millions of users after the website owners refused to comply with a demand to shut down.

The FoI request revealed that parliamentary computers were used 26 times to access the site last year.

Parliamentary officials said that access to the website was blocked but staff could log on for personal use after working hours.

Last month, SNP MP Michelle Thomson denied any connection to the website after one of her apparently “out-of-use” email addresses was found to be linked to an Ashley Madison account.

The hack exposed the names, addresses, phone numbers and credit card details of a reported 1.2 million users in Britain alone.
