BRITAIN’S most famous gay entertainer Elton John said yesterday he wanted to have a chat with Russian President Vladimir Putin about his stance on LGBT rights.
Mr John added that the former spy had said “stupid things” in his warnings to LGBT people travelling to the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
Mr Putin argued last year that gay people would be safe in Russia, but they would have to “leave children alone.”
The singer admitted the chat was “probably pie in the sky,” but said he would still like to try.
