Anti-racism demo called as Elon Musk emboldens fascists

ANTI-RACISTS have called for a national counter-protest to a demonstration in support of far-right provocateur Tommy Robinson.

Stand Up To Racism is calling a national demonstration in London on February 1.

It warned that fascists and racists have been emboldened by tech billionaire Elon Musk’s support of the imprisoned agitator, real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon.

Stand Up To Racism co-convener Sabby Dhalu said: “We cannot ignore the links between the far-right forces emboldened by Trump’s presidency, Musk’s dangerous rhetoric, and the rise of racism and hate in Britain.

“The international far right is growing, and we must act now to resist their repulsive politics of hate.”

Co-convener Weyman Bennett added: “Trump’s return to office, and the cherry on the cake — Musk’s Nazi salute on live television — are a clear indication to fascists like Robinson that their time is now.

“We urge all opposed to fascism to unite in protest against what these people stand for.”
