Celtic travel to Hearts in League Cup quarters

CELTIC were yesterday handed a tough trip to Tynecastle to take on Hearts in the quarter-finals of the Scottish League Cup.

The holders will have to overcome a team they failed to score against at Celtic Park on Saturday, when Hearts held them to a goalless draw in the league.

Hibernian’s prize for knocking out league leaders Aberdeen is another home tie against Dundee United, who won on penalties at Easter Road at the same stage last season.

There is a Highland derby to come in Inverness where the Scottish Cup holders take on in-form Ross County at home.

And Morton have the chance to knock out another Premiership team at Cappielow with St Johnstone aiming to avoid the same fate Motherwell suffered in the third round.

The games will be played on October 27-28.
