Shocking new film about censorship of Gaza genocide to premiere in London this month

A NEW film about the “concerted campaign” to hide the truth of what’s happening in Palestine will premiere in East London later this month.

“Censoring Palestine” explores how the genocide in Gaza is being ruthlessly censored in mainstream and social media, education and entertainment.

The film’s producer Norman Thomas said: “The truth is suppressed and people who speak out often face damaging consequences.

“This has all the hallmarks of a concerted campaign.”

The film exposes how counter-terrorism laws are being abused to silence protest.

Mr Thomas said: “The film documents dawn raids on journalists, an academic being arrested for making a speech, protesters being jailed without bail for long periods of time  — and all using what appear to be totally false accusations of terrorism.

“Our film shows that free speech is under attack. Any protest may soon be considered a terrorist act.”

The film features interviews with film director Ken Loach, comedian Alexei Sayle, rock star Roger Waters and Ben Jamal, director of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, as well as the mothers of two young activists imprisoned after taking action to stop the manufacture of drones.

Mr Thomas said: “I can’t see how trying to stop the making of drones to kill Palestinians can be counted an act of terrorism.

“And these young people face being in jail for over a year without bail.”

The film, which will debut at the Genesis Cinema on January 22, is  produced by Platform Films, who were behind the documentary “Oh Jeremy Corbyn, The Big Lie.”

The screening will be followed by a discussion with Alexei Sayle, journalist Sarah Wilkinson, the mothers of three imprisoned pro-Palestine activists and the film-makers.
