Unite heads to Brussels to protect services from TTIP

TOP Unite officials are in Brussels today calling on MEPs to “turn up the volume” and protect public services from the destructive trade deal TTIP.

Euro MPs must “demand concrete action from the Commission and David Cameron to carve the NHS out of TTIP and protect our health service from irreversible privatisation,” said Unite chair Tony Woodhouse.

The European Parliament voted in June to exempt the NHS from the secretive trade pact but the commission has refused to fully do so.
