WOMEN’S CRICKET: The top two clash in the Rachel Heyhoe Flint trophy tomorrow morning when league-leading Northern Diamonds host second-placed defending champions Southern Vipers at Headingley. Tomorrow’s other matches see bottom club Western Storm up against the Sunrisers, Central Sparks playing the South East Stars and Lancashire Thunder taking on the Blaze. The Stars’ Ryana Macdonald-Gay is the competition’s current leading wicket taker.

SPEEDWAY: Jack Holder won all six of his races to bag 18 points as Sheffield led from the first tape to claim a massive 55-35 home win over Ipswich in the first leg of the Premiership Knock-Out Cup final on Monday night. Cup holders Ipswich were once again without Jason Doyle and Emil Sayfutdinov and won just one heat. In Premiership action Leicester’s 48-42 loss at King’s Lynn confirmed Sheffield as league champions.

WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: Round one of Uefa’s Champions League kicks off tomorrow with 58 teams competing in mini knock-out tournaments for a place in the second round. Rangers are in London to face Arsenal, Cardiff travel to Twente Enschede, Finland’s KuPS Kuopio host Celtic and Glentoran visit Slovenia to face NS Mura. Holders Barcelona, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Lyon do not enter the competition until the group stages.

MEN’S RUGBY LEAGUE: Warrington prop Paul Vaughan will miss the last three games of the regular season after being sent off in their 16-12 defeat at Leigh. Warrington currently sit third in the Super League four points behind both Hull KR and Wigan. Huddersfield’s prop Fenton Rodgers has been suspended for four matches, second rower Sam Hewitt also picked up a one-match ban and Castleford’s Sylvester Namo will miss two games.
