It’s official: Osborne is scarier than the devil

GEORGE Osborne was found to be scarier than the devil himself in a Halloween poll conducted by the Star yesterday.

The Chancellor’s policies have proved more ghoulish than expected — 95 per cent of those quizzed admitted being more afraid of Mr Osborne than of Satan.

Over 220 people said they found Mr Osborne terrifying in a non-peer-reviewed Twitter poll conducted for Halloween.

But some participants thought it was an unfair choice, as “Osborne and Satan are the same person.”

A user named David Stuart Cole said: “Same evil spirit, different name!”

Others reckoned Beelzebub faced tough competition when it came to the entire Conservative Party.

Michael Morrison tweeted: “When Thatcher arrived in hell, 60 per cent of the furnaces were shut down within six weeks.”

Fellow participant Tim Nash quipped: “That’s why Osborne will live to at least 100 — Satan don’t wanna meet up with him too soon!”
