RACIST Italian football federation president Carlo Tavecchio once again made the news on Sunday for making discriminatory remarks about Jews and gay people.
Tavecchio was handed a six month ban a year ago by Uefa for making racist comments during his election campaign.
And the 72-year-old was allegedly recorded by website Soccer Life in June saying that “it is best to keep them at bay,” in reference to Jewish people.
And when speaking about the sale of an Italian amateur league to real estate mogul Cesare Anticoli, he said: “It was bought by that lousy Jew Anticoli.”
The recording also reportedly has Tavecchio saying: “I don’t have anything against gays but it’s better to keep them away from me. I am normal.”
Tavecchio claims that his comments have been manipulated and that he is being blackmailed.
His six-month ban last year was for saying: “In England, they identify the players coming in and, if they are professional, they are allowed to play. Here instead we get ‘Opti Poba’ who previously ate bananas and then suddenly becomes a first-team player with Lazio.”
