Support the paper that supports the working class

Star reader PAUL SIMON explains why he’s backing our 1,000 new readers campaign

TO ALL my friends who haven’t had a proper pay rise for years, who are being bullied and exploited by their bosses, who are students and fearful of graduating with crippling debts they’ll never pay off, who are on benefits and being vilified by the “mainstream” media, will you do me and yourselves a favour, please?

Buy the one national paper — the Morning Star — that speaks for working people and cuts through the Establishment’s lies and hatred of us.

The Morning Star was founded 85 years ago, in 1930. In that time it has been hassled by the state, banned outright and subjected to an advertisers’ boycott, but it still prints every day, except Sunday.

The paper is now trying to boost its readership by an extra 1,000. Why not order it from your newsagent? It only costs £1. Perhaps try it out on Saturdays only first?

The Morning Star gives me the confidence to understand the class war being waged against us. It gives me the facts. It gives me key opinions. It gives me the confidence to be who I am.

And if you already read the Morning Star, please share with others what it means to you.

Thank you.
