Alex Neil believes his side are as well equipped as any to deal with promotion expectations after his Norwich side defeated local rivals Ipswich Town 2-0 at Carrow Road yesterday.
The Canaries deservedly triumphed through goals from Bradley Johnson and Lewis Grabban, making it six successive Championship wins.
Norwich led through a powerful finish from Bradley Johnson, after a pull-back from Lewis Grabban on the right following good work from Wesley Hoolahan.
The advantage was doubled when substitute Cameron Jerome’s right-footed shot deflected of Grabban and trickled over the line.
“I won’t allow the players to get complacent — we’ve worked too hard and come too far to do that,” said Neil.
“My group is probably better suited than any group to handle that expectation because the players have because they have been in the premier League before.”
The Canaries are now within striking distance of the automatic promotion slots, with four clean sheets across their last six games.
Next up for the team lying in third are Wigan and Millwall, two sides currently fighting to stay in the league.
