Canada: 2 jailed for al-Qaida train attack plot

Two men accused of plotting to attack a New York to Toronto train were found guilty of several terror-related charges on Friday and could spend the rest of their lives in prison.

Investigators claimed the men received guidance from al-Qaida in what they called its first known attack planned in Canada.

Raed Jaser and Chiheb Esseghaier were arrested in 2013. The jury found both guilty of conspiring to commit murder in association with a terrorist group.
