No charges for Clarkson

TOP GEAR producer Oisin Tymon told police yesterday he would not be pressing charges against Jeremy Clarkson.

Mr Tymon went to A&E with a split lip after the axed BBC presenter punched him in the face earlier this month.

North Yorkshire police is investigating the incident.

The BBC announced on Thursday that it would not be renewing Mr Clarkson’s contract following the incident.

Bectu assistant general secretary Luke Crawley said: “Physical assault in the workplace is not acceptable, no matter how big the talent.”
