London: cinema 'Capital'

Capital Bolivar Hall Grafton Way, W1 April 12

Set in the high-stakes world of global finance, Capital is a darkly comic and suspenseful film which follows events after the death of one of France’s top bankers.

He’s replaced by a Machiavellian young executive and a whirlwind of ruthless ambition, power struggles, greed and deception ensue in this pointed commentary on how the world of contemporary capitalism plays itself out across the global finance stage.

Presented by London Socialist Film Co-op, this is a rare opportunity to see work by the legendary left writer-director Costa Gavras which speaks directly to our times.
