RMT ballots for Docklands Light Railway strike action

TRANSPORT union RMT announced yesterday that it would ballot for strike action on London’s Docklands Light Railway over pay and conditions.

Union reps have been involved in extensive talks with KeolisAmey Docklands management regarding the 2015 pay review.

But following a series of meetings, the company failed to table a suitable pay offer.

RMT is also balloting staff over a contract awarded by KeolisAmey Docklands to anti-union facilities firm Interserve.

Leader Mick Cash said: “The union will not sit back while core issues on pay and working conditions are left unresolved.”
