Miliband to embrace his inner geek

ED MILIBAND announced he was giving up on grooming his image to please the media yesterday and embracing his reputation as a political “geek” yesterday.

The Labour leader described himself as “square, geeky, verging on the nerdy” in an interview to be broadcast on Classic FM today.

But he insisted that he and brother David were more likely to quarrel over the remote control than Marxist theory as children.

He admitted their leadership clash was “bruising,” but said David has been “very supportive” during the election.

Mr Miliband said: “He’s sending me messages, we’ve been talking during the campaign. He’s sort of moved on.”

Asked about his Marxist dad Ralph, he joked the sociologist was so studious he “was the one person who took a briefcase to the beach.”
