England slipped to fourth in the International Cricket Council Test rankings yesterday following their defeat to the West Indies.
At 1-0 up after the second Test, England looked certain to hang on to third place behind South Africa and Australia but their five-wicket loss in Bridgetown saw them overtaken by Pakistan.
Alastair Cook’s side could return to the top three without playing a game should Pakistan fail to beat Bangladesh.
