WAYNE COUZENS has been charged with four counts of indecent exposure which allegedly took place just weeks before he murdered Sarah Everard.
The Crown Prosecution Service said today the alleged offences occurred between January and February 2021 when Mr Couzens was a serving Metropolitan Police officer.
A month later, on March 3, the officer kidnapped Ms Everard, 33, from a south London street before raping and murdering her.
CPS special crime division head Rosemary Ainslie said: “Following a referral of evidence by the Metropolitan Police, the CPS has authorised four charges of indecent exposure against Wayne Couzens.
“He will appear at Westminster magistrates’ court on April 13.”
Mr Couzens is serving a whole-life term for the abduction, rape and murder of Ms Everard.
It comes after a Met Police officer accused of a series of sexual attacks against women was charged with another 12 offences on Wednesday, bringing the total number of charges to 41.
PC David Carrick has been accused of rape, coercive and controlling behaviour and sexual assault by 11 women.
He pleaded not guilty to 29 separate charges against eight women at earlier court hearings.
