The legendary Trades Club at Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire is to stage an annual week of action in support of the people of Palestine.
The club’s half-yearly general meeting decided that the Palestinian flag will be flown during the week, the date of which is yet to be set.
The Trades Club was built in 1924 as a centre of organisation, education and recreation for thousands of textile and tailoring trades unionists in the Calder Valley.
It continues as a musical venue and centre of political activity, including raising funds for causes such as Palestine and the Star.
